Responsibilities:
Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products LP is seeking a talented HR professional to join our team at
the Naheola mill in Pennington, AL. This position will oversee all aspects of the HR function in
an industrialized, union environment and reports directly to the Senior Human Resources Manager.
Primary responsibilities are talent management, perfomance management, employee and labor relations,
recruitment and selection, compensation, administration of the collective bargaining agreements, including
management of the grievance procedure through arbitration as a company advocate. This position will also
provide consulting support to the senior management team regarding performance management,
HR compliance, investigations and corroborating on appropriate course of actions. Ability to deal with
rapidly changing organizational issues and manage the impact of change on the organization, its culture
and associates.
Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and computer skills. Ability to make group
presentations. Ability to administer HR policies and procedures, analyze HR data and make
recommendations to management. Performs a variety of tasks and must have initiative, flexibility,
work with a sense of urgency and customer focus. Qualified applicants must demonstrate
proficiency with MS Office products. Ability to act both strategically and tactically. Must possess
organizational savvy necessary to understand future business needs combined with strong
business acumen.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree and a minimum of 7 years of related Human Resources Management experience
in a unionized facility.
